Philip McDonnell

My passion is for working with others for a better future, where everyone can enjoy a fulfilling life now but where the planet is protected for future generations. Though we face significant challenges, I believe through collaboration and communities we can build positive change.

I am a freelance worker with over thirty years of experience in project management, strategic planning, education and training, and community engagement. I started my career in teaching and teacher training but my interests led me into the environment sector. I set up and managed the Environment Centre in Swansea and then most of my work over the past twenty years has involved supporting environmental networks and partnership projects.

Much of this has focused on environmental issues such as waste and recycling, energy, transport, fair trade, climate change, built heritage and nature but usually linked to health, education, housing, economic regeneration and other fields. I’m keen to share the knowledge and skills I’ve gained in developing and managing projects, organising events, community engagement, delivering training, creating resources, business management, action planning and fundraising.
