Another great turn out for our second Gwynedd 2030 event- this time in Neuadd Ogwen in Bethesda. It was good to see some familiar faces but also plenty of new people who were keen to both hear what’s been going on to contribute to moving things forward.
David Lewis, Cyngor Gwynedd’s Energy Conservation Manager presented their Carbon Management Plan what the council have done already to reduce carbon emissions and then took questions from the floor.
After that attendees split into groups to consider the 6 themes that had been drawn up at the first event in July (energy, housing, waste, food, nature, transport), reviewed that previous event’s outputs and then came up with some new ideas. Last time we asked ‘what’ and ‘who’ but this time ‘how’ was added to it, and so attendees were challenged think practically about how to make them a reality and list actions to achieve the goals.
Much networking took place also over lunch and beyond. Thanks to Craig ab Iago, one of our north Wales co-ordinators for helping organise and chairing the session.
