Why Attend?
Climate change is already affecting our everyday lives, with ever increasing weather extremes. Bridgend’s unique valley geography, industrial heritage, and floodprone communities mean we face unique challenges that demand a local response. In the session, you’ll:
- Understand the risks, as identified in the recent Climate Change Risk Assessment undertaken by Cwm Taf Morgannwg Public Services Board
- Hear from experts Kathryn Warren (Sustainable Wales) and Helen Hammond (Cwm Taf Morgannwg Public Services Board)
- Learn about what is already going on within the community and share further ideas
- Build networks across the community
- Work with fellow residents and community groups to identify practical, community led adaptation actions
Whether you’re a community group, social care provider, business owner, or curious resident, your voice and ideas are essential. Together, we’ll create a path towards a safer, greener, more connected Bridgend – today and for generations to come.
